Stock Market LIVE Updates: Sensex off day's low, down 350 pts at 77,780; HUL, M&M lead recovery

Four devotees, including three women died and several more were injured in a stampede here on Wednesday night as hundreds of them jostled for tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple on Tirumala Hills, a police official said.
Hundreds of devotees turned up from across the country for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam commencing from January 10.
"Three women and a man died in the stampede," the official confirmed to PTI.
Meanwhile, videos of police administering CPR on a couple of woman devotees and injured persons being shifted in ambulances went viral.

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday said it has issued guidelines on the regulatory framework for research analysts and investment advisers to bolster investor protection and ensure transparency.
These guidelines came after the regulator notified the research analyst (RA) rules and investment adviser (IA) norms in December last year.
The new norms encompass qualification standards, fee structures, deposit requirements, and client segregation protocols.
The regulator introduced fresh compliance mandates, particularly for entities utilising artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their services.
Under the revised framework, Sebi said research analysts are required to maintain a deposit based on their client base, ranging from Rs 1 lakh for up to 150 clients to Rs 10 lakh for over 1,000 clients.
These deposits aim to provide additional security for investors.
Also, investment advisers are mandated to follow a graded deposit system tied to client numbers.

Bengaluru has led growth in India's key office markets, with gross leasing in the IT hub hitting a record nearly 220 lakh square feet in 2024, according to CBRE.
Real estate consultant CBRE on Monday released data for nine major Indian office markets.
In Bengaluru, the gross office leasing increased to 218 lakh square feet in 2024, from 155 lakh square feet in the preceding year.
Flexible space operators rented 36 lakh square feet office space in Bengaluru during 2024, as against 22 lakh square feet in the preceding calendar year.
New supply of office space in Bengaluru, however, declined to 140 lakh sq ft, from 154 lakh sq ft in 2023.
In Bengaluru, the rentals stood at Rs 77-92 per square feet a month.
CBRE said that office leasing recorded a historic high of 790 lakh sq ft in 2024 across nine cities. The absorption marked a 16 per cent annual growth, setting a new benchmark for leasing activity.

The initial public offer of Quadrant Future Tek Ltd received 185.82 times subscription on the final day of share sale on Thursday, mirroring strong investors participation.
The initial share sale received bids for 1,07,77,29,300 shares against 57,99,999 shares on offer, as per NSE data.
